Time for some more Max Factor products and these guys are just lovely.

I received these along with some of the regular eyeshadow palettes (and other bits). Where I wasn't overly impressed by the pressed shadows (some of the palettes were better than others but the powder is too hard and compressed for any decent pay-off), I was very impressed and enamored by these 'dip-in' loose eyeshadows from the Max Effect line.

They come in these small conical pots with a sponge tipped applicator that dips into the pigment filled well. Thanks to the tapered applicator you can apply these as a line above the lash line as well as a wash over the entire lid.

You definitely need a primer underneath to grab onto the powder and keep it in place throughout the day, but this doesn't bother me in the slightest as I always use a primer anyhow!

With Flash

There are 8 shades in the entire range, 6 of which I was sent. They are vibrant, intense shades that look lovely on the eyes for a bright pop of colour. They are all somewhat shimmery also.

Above are the swatches of the shades with no primer underneath. They do apply nicely to the skin but if you blend them without the use of a primer underneath, they will sheer down quite a lot.

The lovely warm brown 'Bronzed Glow',

 the shimmery gold shade 'Ibiza Sunrise' 

and the lovely duo chromed violet shade 'Ultra Violet' which is a very decent dupe for Macs 'Stars n Rockets'
