Playful Valentines Inspired Makeup Tutorial.

Howdy Guys ^_^

This is my first Valentines Inspired makeup look for the year. It's a cute, fun playful look not to be taken too seriously.... and probably more suited to a Valentines themed party rather than a Valentines date.

Inglot Haul! EyeShadows, Blusher, Sparkle & Pencil.

I was up in the Big Smoke (i.e. Dublin to all non-Culchies out there) yesterday for work and as usual was unable to resist the urge to visit one of the Inglot counters there. And of course do damage to my poor credit card 0_o
I went prepared with a big nerdy list of all the shadows I already own, in numerical & texture order. This was to avoid repurchasing any shades I already have, which I had done a few times previously.
I had had a look on the website and had jotted down a few shades of the matte shadows that I didn't already have in my collection, and brought this list along with me also.
8 of the 10 shadows I got were from that list and the other two I just liked the look of when I saw the testers.
From L-R; (All Matte)

New! Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Moisturiser & Serum; SPF20.

Happy Tuesday Folks ^_^

Time for another Product Focus post and this one is about the new Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 Moisturiser & Serum Duo SPF20. (I swear product titles are getting more & more wordy now-a-days!!)
I'll start by saying that this will be available from next month (February 2013) and will retail for about €23 - €24, just incase ye go looking now and can't find it.
What Olay have done is taken their popular Total Effects Day Moisturiser and have added a concentrated serum to the mix. I have to admit, I'm loving all these products lately that have a serum included in the formula, like the Max Factor Ageless Elixir Foundation & the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation... 2 of my favourites!
I am going to attribute this to my newly maturing skin (no longer as oily as I once was :( Skin has definitely become more combination/dry over the past few years, still with an oily T-zone though!)
I used to find in my late teens/ early 20s that most serums were too rich for my younger, sensitive, oilier skin but now they are my saviour!

Japanese Street-Style / Ganguro / CyberPop inspired Makeup. (Subculture Series)

KAWAII !!!!
This look is inspired by Japanese Decora style as well as Ganguro. It's also a little bit CyberPop. Just a cute fun Makeup! xx

'Peaches & Pink'.....Wishin' for Spring Makeup Tutorial.

Howdy Folks,
Even though we still have to deal with the official winter season for another month & a bit, doesn't mean we can't start preparing for the coming fairer months ahead!
This tutorial is a departure from the drama and striking looks of December letting way for softer pastel shades, which are always synonymous with this time of the year!

Organising my Makeup Brushes.... Major Operation!

My Makeup Brushes are my babies, as sad as it might sound, it's true!
More than just having them for practical reasons (i.e. my job), I would consider myself a collector. I see one I don't have and I immediately want it!!
Anyhow, I hadn't really sorted them out in nearly a year now, since I last moved house, and they were definitely in need of some rejigging.
For the most part I keep my 'own' brushes separate from my 'kit' brushes but I do have to 'cross-contaminate', so-to-say, every now and again for certain jobs, makeup tutorials etc. They were pretty much all mixed up and not in much order. Not something I enjoy!!!
So I pulled every single brush out and made sure each one was squeaky clean... Part 1 done.

I also hadn't counted my brushes in a long time either so today I got a nice round number of 250 on the button! 90 large/face brushes and 160 smaller/eye brushes etc.
That's a LOT of brushes to keep clean, but luckily I'm really good at keeping on top of it!

Pretty-up those peepers; Sleek Makeup False Lashes.

Just because the Christmas/NewYears party season is officially over for another year, doesn't mean our efforts to look fabulous on a night out have to wane. There are still plenty of birthdays and weddings and other unseasonal occasions to make ourselves look fabulous for!
I know some people like to give their skin and faces a bit of a break from the heavy makeup wearing  over December, and a way to do that while still looking fab on a night out is to throw on a pair of false lashes over a natural-as-you-like makeup look!
Sleek Makeup have recently brought out a new range of affordable (January post-Christmas wallet friendly) high quality false lashes that will suit those looking for anything from understated natural to full on fabulous!
There are 8 different styles to choose from.

My 2013 Makeup Wish List!

Welcome to LetzMakeup in 2013 Everyone :)
Seeing as my last post of 2012 was about what I got for Christmas/December etc, I though my first one for the New Year should be about what makeup I hope to get my grubby little paws on over the upcoming 12 months!
My family & friends look at me like I'm crazy when I proclaim that need to pick up some new piece of makeup, but there's just so many drool-inducing makeup & beauty products out there that I still want to get, never mind needing to replenish bits for my professional kit!

One product that I've been meaning to purchase for a few years now is the Flash Palette, which is a 12 pan coloured cream makeup palette, by MakeupForever.
