Romwe updates; Help Talia's favourite Cancer charity & New Sale!

Romwe have asked me to share with you guys the information about their cooperation with the lovely Talia Joy Castellano, who lost her long running battle with childhood Cancer at just 13 years of age last July.

Talia was a popular and hugely inspirational Youtube Beauty Guru who used her Youtube channel as a platform for her optimism and hope. Before the summer she contacted Romwe.com about collaborating with her channel and out of that came 3 different designs of makeup-inspired leggings Lip-print Black-white Leggings, Colorful Lip-print White Leggings & Lipstick Print White Leggings. 

Sadly Talia was too unwell by the time the designs were ready and never got to enjoy her fashion collaboration. Running from September the 27th until October 11th Romwe will be donating to Talia’s favorite charity, BASE Camp Children's Cancer Foundation, to help other children suffering from the same illness.

Romwe are donating $5.00 to BASE Camp for every pair of Talia's leggings that are sold.

Can ye tell by all my fashion posts lately that I'm a wee bit excited about dressing for this time of the year!?.....

I LOVE Autumn, no avoiding it and as a result have gone bonkers over the past month or so filling out my Autumn/Winter wardrobe. (With the result that I am imposing a much needed spending ban through-out the month of October on myself, wahhhh!!!!)

So while that ban will help prevent me from spending any more money (unnecessarily) over the next 30 days, it won't stop my blogger C/o items coming or mean that I can't share with ye what I did accumulate over said past month.

Hello Again!

Nearly there... here is look 3 of 4 from my Autumn lookbook, which turned out to be very Madonna-esque circa 1980's.

The outfit focus is this cute lace "Retro Lolita" skirt which was sent C/o ChicNova.com. I love lace, maybe a bit too much at times, and I also love layering, which is the main reason why I love this time of the year.... I had to wear shorts under the skirt because of it's teeniness but sure I only love the layered look of the pairing! :)

The Leather-look jacket is from Swamp which is an Irish retail chain that often has unique pieces, and nearly everything seems to cost €40.

Top, shorts & socks are all from good ol' Penneys (Primark in Ireland) and the oh-so-lovely booties are from iClothing.ie and are the comfiest pair of boots you could hope to trod about in!

Here's look #2 from my Autumn LookBook featuring iClothing, Chicnova & Romwe.
It's quite a rockabilly-ish looking ensemble, especially when I popped on my Ralph Lauren sunnies to fight the glare of the sun!
The shirt from Chicnova.com is so pretty but I was worried it would look a little too country & Western for my liking when I opened up the package it arrived in, luckily it just about fell short of the mark. The detailing on it is really quite stunning & I love the see-through mesh panel at the back as well. I chose the small size which fits my size 6-8 frame. (UK/Irish sizing)

The Skirt is from Romwe.com and is my favourite thing of the outfit. It's a vinyl material in my favourite colour of the minute ... burgundy/wine, I'm literally obsessed with all things that shade ! I spend about an hour 'wishlisting' items just that colour on various websites last night 0_o
I went for the size Medium which has a 70cm waistline (to fit my stupid thick torso) and it fit perfectly!

Howdy ^_^

I filmed my first Autumn lookbook today again taking advantage of my parent's garden as a backdrop and styled 4 looks, this one being the first of them!

I will be uploading the entire video in the coming days but will post the looks separately on my blog to allow them a little limelight of their own :)

This look features the Romwe.com Parka coat & Sammydress.com Suede Wedges I showed in this recent post.

It's a pretty casual look though the shoes keep it from being too sloppy & grungy.

Pretty much everything else on me was bought from Penneys (Primark) at some stage along the way :)

Haunted Victorian/Gothic Doll ; Halloween Tutorial

I've wanted to do another Scary/Spooky Doll makeup for the past couple of years now but wanted to let my last psycho doll makeup travel a little more into the past before designing my next Doll character.

This time I drew inspiration from old Gothic Victorian Dolls and to be honest when I look at my old doll makeup now, I think it's done really shoddily! ha ha. 

I wanted this one to be 'executed' better and to look neater, which I think it is.

I bought the hat last year in the local €2 store here in Galway, it's actually a witches hat on a hairband but I just pinned back the pointed part of the hat to make it more generically gothic.

I came across this picture below of Keira Knightly on google images when I was searching for her makeup to re-create for the video and thought it a perfect example of just how important eyebrows are!!!

Blush Exclusif by Bourjois ; Smart Blush!

Bourjois are getting Smart-er (:P)..... and have just released their first "Smart Blush" which is a cream to powder blush containing pigments that react to the pH levels of your skin, creating a 'bespoke' and  unique blush colour on your cheeks. The technology isn't new, Barry M have had their pH-reactive 'green' lipstick that's actually a berry shade on the lips for years, but it is pretty cool non the less!

Bourjois' offering is a light pastel pink blush in the pot but once swatched and applied to the skin, it deepens in colour depending on your own skin's unique pH level.

Shiv's Style; "The Arrival of Autumn" Outfit of the Day... ft. iClothing.ie

Ahoy hoy!

As I mentioned before, I'm delighted with the change of season and as a result my change of wardrobe as this is my favourite time of the year. I have been updating my wardrobe to keep up with my taste rather than 'fashion' and of course the weather.

I styled the lovely new dress I bought from iClothing.ie to match my own personal style and incorporate an Autumnal colour scheme. I first showed it in a blog post last week.
