Coastal Scents 'Revealed 2' EyeShadow Palette.

Last week Coastal Scents released their 'Revealed 2' eyeshadow palette, the follow up to the original,  hugely popular 'Revealed' palette. It is a 20 colour palette with a mixture of mattes and shimmers with a predominantly pink undertone running throughout, so lovers of the Urban Decay 'Naked 3' palette will be impressed. I have been told that the original 'Revealed' is a mix of both the first and second Naked palettes.

Unlike the Urban Decay ones though which contain 12 colours & retail for $54.00 (€44.00), the Coastal Scents palettes cost only $19.95 (about €15.00).
I was very gratefully sent the new release by the company, though being in Ireland I didn't receive it quite in time for the release, and have been using it all week and loving it! I used it in my Rihanna tutorial which will be up later today (Monday) and also used it to create my look for my sisters birthday over the weekend, and got loads of compliments on my makeup, my eye makeup in particular :)
There's a great mix of mattes and shimmers as well as there being just the right balance of light neutrals and stronger, more pigmented striking shades. The shimmers apply like butter, which I had heard already about the original 'Revealed' palette, and the mattes apply and blend brilliantly also! There is a little bit of fall-out when applying these, but nothing excessive, and I would always do my eye makeup anyhow before finishing and setting my base so it's not an issue.
The packaging is extremely lightweight cardboard similar to the Zoeva palettes, which has it's pros and cons. It won't take up much space in your bag/kit and is very light, plus the lid is magnetised so it is very much shut when not in use! The main con being that you cannot allow this palette to get damp/wet due to the paper packaging but as long as you keep it out of the bathroom it shouldn't be an issue. (Plus can I add here than no makeup should be kept in the bathroom anyhow due to sanitary reasons but I won't go into that now!!)

You can see from the swatches above how impressive the colour pay-off is without a base, but of course, using an eyeshadow base will benefit the wear and application of any eyeshadow.
The palette is available now on the website here so make sure ye check it out,  plus there are video reviews by several other vloggers on there too to help cement your opinions on the palette before ye make any decisions on purchasing it!

Hope this little review helps!!
What do you Guys think of it??

Chat soon,
Shiv.

  1. Hi Siobhán, could you please share the Ireland based shopping website you spoke of in the video? I'm also in Europe and have the same customs issues as Irish people apparently do. Thank you!

    2. Hi Misato, I was talking about Parcel Motel, but that would only help with avoiding Irish Customs, it won't help on the mainland. Sorry! Nor sure how to help you, might be worth searching if there is a similar delivery service where you are. x

    3. Thank you. Unfortunately no resellers in my country, and no service like parcel motel... I guess it will remain on the wishlist for now. All the best!

    5. Gracias Renata. I had already added the Spanish (on Coastal Scents website) sites to my favourites. I'll try radabeauty when they have the palette.
