3 Alternative Christmas Party Dresses :)

Christmas Party Season is upon us!

Which means it's time to start picking out our party outfits, and for me it's important that my dresses actually cover me against the colder winter weather and are not too restrictive when yummy food & drinks are involved :)

I've styled 3 dresses that are maybe a little different to the usual picks, the first dress from Choies.com is what I wore to my own Christmas work party. It was a perfect fit for the dinner we went to as the drop waist is very loose-fitting and allows for the inevitable bloating after a 3 course meal!

The rich colour is a lovely alternative to the more commonly picked golds and reds for the festive season and the detailing on the collar, sleeves and skirt are just ornate enough for my own taste.

I added a knuckle-duster skull clutch from TK Maxx which matches the dress really well and adds some more attitude, and the shoes are second hand from Zara.

I know that not everyone is a fan of such loose fitting clothing so I added an obi-style belt from Swamp to add some structure to my silhouette.

The second outfit has much more of a rocker feel to it. The edgy dress is from JollyChic.com and has delicate pale-gold embroidery covering the main material with roses and skulls throughout. The dress itself is a slightly heavier polyester material which is suitable for the colder December air. There is a necklace attached to the dress, which is detachable, and has 3 little skulls along the front, so no need for much more jewelry, I just added a silver bracelet and a couple of silver rings. 

The clutch is from Romwe.com and also has skull motifs throughout the surface with studs along the hems. That along with the multi-buckled wedge boots (from BooHoo a few years ago) are the perfect accompaniment to the dress!

The final dress is very girly and sweet from Romwe.com. The white would be bang-on for a snow or white themed christmas party. This dress also has very delicate and intricate embroidery detail along it's top half. I chose black lita-style platform shoes from Retro London (on Oxford Street) to keep it from looking too 'precious' and wore my vintage looking watch from Aupie.com .
