Max Factor 'Max Effect Mini Nail Polish'

Max Factor have just added 18 new Mini Nail Polishes to their Max Effect Collection for SS12.
The Collection is broken into 4 colour families inspired by Fashion Week Cities & "the mood of their coolest neighbourhood districts"
These are;
1. Brooklyn, New York (Urban Pastels)
2. Dalston, London (Cool, Colour Clashing)
3. Via Tortona, Milan (High Metallic Glamour)
4. Marais, Paris (Classics, Parisian Chic)

I was sent a little package earlier this week which contained 4 of these colours.

                                      Left; "Pretty in Pink" #28 & Right; "Lacquer Noir" #36

                                      Left; "Candy Blue" #35 & Right; "Purple Haze" #38

While I love the brights, I absolutely love the nude pastel "Pretty in Pink" shade in the top picture, especially paired with the black shade "Lacquer Noir". I really love the contrast of the two opposites.

Max Factor suggests creating artistic nail art effects with the various shades like adding polka dot nails, or create linear designs. Now, I've never been one for nail art personally so the most artsy I get with these babies is to wear random colours on different nails or just have one colour on one hand, with another on the other.

So far I've been wearing the polishes for 2 days and absolute minimal chipping which is great!
I did require 2 thin coats to get the opacity I like but the formula dried really quickly so it wasn't a problem at all.

They are available now from regular stockists nationwide like Boots. etc and they retail roughly for €4.99 each.

Take care til next time!

Siobhán.

  1. I've got two of theese. If you have a chance to buy #45 Fantasy Fire - go for it. The colour is the most beautiful bluish-purple with pink, orange and gold shimmer in it. It's really unique.
