Multi-taskin' with La Roche-Posay "Cicaplast Baume B5"

Who wouldn't want a does-it-all balm that soothes & treats everything skin-related from sunburn to chapped lips to eczema??..... Take from the fact that La Roche-Posays 'Cicaplast Balme B5' sold out within weeks of it's initial Irish launch and is the companys top selling product in Ireland, I think most people would and do! Think of it as a more sophisticated cousin of good ol' reliable 'Sudocream', it can be used anywhere on the body, including the face, and treats a multitude of irritations including;
Dry patches
Eczema
Flaking, chapped skin
Chapped lips
Nappy rash
Cracked or grazed skin
Itching
Sunburn
Chaffing
Post cosmetic peels
.....and much more!!!

It helps the skins recovery by first comforting and calming the irritation immediately, and then it works on accelerating the healing process. It can be used on the most sensitive of skins, including babies and is also paraben-free, fragrance-free & lanolin-free.

The white, emollient cream can be applied thinly or more thick but absorbs fairly quickly and doesn't leave a greasy residue on the skin.
 It works via a "triple action complete formula" which includes firstly the soothing action brought on by the 5% Panthenol, the protection of the skin from the barrier it creates on the surface & it's anti-bacterial properties, and thirdly the recovery of the skins cells thanks to the Copper/zinc/manganese mineral complex & Madecassoside.
It also contains skin softening & conditioning Glycerin & Shea butter.

Ingredients;

AQUA / WATER
HYDROGENATED POLYISOBUTENE
DIMETHICONE
GLYCERIN
BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII BUTTER / SHEA BUTTER
PANTHENOL
BUTYLENE GLYCOL
ALUMINUM STARCH OCTENYLSUCCINATE
PROPANEDIOL

This has been out since february, in pharmacies nationwide, in the newer 'handbag' 40ml size which costs RRP €7.50.
I've been using it for everything & anything since then, particularly my chapped lips and cracked mouth corners, as well as on my boyfriends very sensitive & dry/flakey facial patches. I have been also using it on my feet after breaking in new shoes!!

A brilliant balm that should live in every bathroom cabinet, handbag or in my case, every living room sideboard!

And that's it for now,

Chat later,

Shiv.

  3. This sound great! I find their products so confusing because most of whats wrote on the packaging isnt in english. Ive heard of a cream to help treat spots and blemishes and even helps with the scars they leave behind but cant for the life of me rememeber the name of it. You wouldnt happen to know? x

  4. My surgeon gave me this after getting FFS (I'm transgender).
    The wounds where I used it on healed much "prettier" than the others.. This product is just amazing. Like you've said you can actually use it for so many things! It's great against acne scaring and can also be used as a foundation primer!!
