High Sun Protection for Perfect Skin by Vichy & La Roche-Posay.

As I've said before, the first step to perfect skin is protection. Sun-damage is the highest contributing factor to premature aging even before chemical damage from smoking & pollution and poor diet.
I've been sent some great new products that not only offer extremely high sun protection but also help to perfect the skintone.

I'll start with Vichy's Capital Soleil BB Tinted Face Fluid...
This is a light mattifying sun fluid with a high SPF of 50 that for the first time comes as an illuminating BB formula. This water resistant fluid dried to a natural matte finish without any sticky residue and is ideal for combination to oily skin types. It's basically a BB cream/ sun protection hybrid, and I do love products that marry makeup and skincare :)
This is a perfect all-in-1 face product that will even out the skintone and perfect minor flaws while protecting against sun-damage. I was sent the Dry Touch Fluid which is mattifying, but there is also a  tinted 'Velvety Cream' available for normal to dry/sensitive skin.
Both creams offer the same 6 actions;
1. High UVA/UVB protection.
2. Skin luminosity
3. Added colour & warmth
4. Illuminates, covers & unifies
5. Hydrates,
6. Nourishes the skin

Both are available in a 50ml tube for the RRP of €16.50.

La Roche-Posay's sun protection range, Anthelios, is also an extremely effective skincare line that offers the highest protection against sun damage in even the most extreme sun exposure conditions.
One of their new products is another skincare/makeup hybrid product, the Anthelios XL Compact Cream SPF50+.
Like the Vichy Fluid this is also suitable for sensitive skin and will smooth the skin's texture as well as cover imperfections and even out the skintone. It comes in a compact case with a mirror built into the lid and a compartment at the bottom which houses a sponge for application.
The texture is a smooth cream that melts into the skin and even though it provides a decent medium coverage, is very comfortable & skin-like on the skin. The shade I was sent is the lightest one which ye can see in the picture below and sadly it is about a shade or so too dark for my skin at the minute but the very light tan that I sometimes acquire throughout the summer would bring my colour up enough to be able to wear it.

The compact is available in a 9g case for the RRP of €19.90 and comes in 2 shades.

I also got to try out the Anthelios XL Ultra Light Fluid SPF50+ which is an extremely lightweight liquid but this one is without any colour or tint... (though there is a tinted version available).
This is perfect for those no-makeup days where sun exposure is likely, and it also works as a great foundation primer. It absorbs into the skin straight away and doesn't leave any white marks or streaks. It offers hydration as well as oil control so is perfect for all skintypes.
There are other formulas available in the range including a richer cream and a mattifying fluid.

The fluids are available in 50ml bottles for the RRP of €19.50.

Now lets just hope we get the sun to encourage us to start using these guys soon!!

Chat later,
Shiv.
