Lipcote.... Sealin' Smackers for over 50 yrs!!

 (Lipcote ad. from the 1950's)

Hey Guys,
Many of ye may know that the Lipstick Sealer 'Lipcote' which is a top-coat for lipstick to seal it in place for hours of wear, and prevents transference, smudging, fading & feathering, has been around for longer than many of us have, 50+ years now!!! Pretty nifty work!

The package above sports the new logo & design courtesy of a collaboration with illustrator Dora (http://www.okdora.com/dora/) who is largely inspired by 1950's burlesque and femininity, making her the perfect person for the job.

Glitter & Eyes..... Party Makeup Tutorial

Howdy Guys!!

Now that Halloween is well & truly done til next year, it's time to focus on my second favourite holiday of the year! I'll not mention the 'C' word quite yet as it can have such a strange angering effect on people when uttered before December hits, so this tutorial is the first of my Seasonal Party Makeup looks ^_^

Anastasia of Beverly Hills 'Express Beauty'

So according to the website..... http://www.anastasia.net/ ..... Miss Anastasia Soare, originally an esthetician from Romania but now living and working in L.A., is known as the 'Beauty Innovator and The Definitive Brow and Eye Expert' and, it says, for good reason.
She boasts an impressive list of celeb clients from Oprah to Madonna, and has been featured in Vogue, Allure, Elle and a number of other high profile publications.
She ''developed her own specific Golden Ratioª technique behind the science of shaping eyebrows"* based on her background in Art, engineering, architecture & mathematics, as well as her interest in Leonardo DaVinci's 'Golden Ratio'.

All that, along with years of dedication to the balance of beauty,  has led her to where she is now and to her hugely successful 'Anastasia Brow Studios'.

So there you have a small background snippet of woman herself, now onto the product at hand.

October favourites '11..... MAC, Sleek, Vichy, Pixi & more!

Hey Everyone:)
Can't believe just how quick this past month seemed to fly by.
Seriously feels like 5 minutes since I filmed & uploaded my Sept' fave's.
Even though I hadn't thought I was wearing much makeup throughout October, turns out I was wrong!
But in my defense, most of my favourites were backlogged products that had been sent to me months ago that I had only recently started trying out.

Quick 'On-the-go' Makeup Tutorial

Estimated application time..... 5-10 min.

'Soap & Glory' Makeup Range.

Hey Guys:)

I was sniffing around in my local Boots pharmacy (Drug Store) & inevitably made a bee-line for the cosmetics section, and one of the first stands I saw was an unfamiliar one belonging to the new 'Soap & Glory' Makeup Range!
Delighted with myself for stumbling across such a lovely find.
I've been told that these makeup products are new to the rest of the 'Soap & glory' range which is best known for it's plumping lipgloss 'Sexy Mother Pucker'.

Halloween '11; Pierrot (Sad clown/mime makeup)

My final Halloween makeup tutorial of '11.....

PIERROT.

I love the story behind this unfortunate character.
He was originally a French pantomime character portrayed by 17th Centuary Italian group called 'Comédie Italienne' who performed in Paris.
'Pierrot' is a pet name for 'Pierre' or Peter in English.
In the story he pines for his elusive love, his wife Columbine, who leaves him for Harlequin, a black-faced character who is the Devils right hand man.
Pierrot is a bit of a fool, and always the unlucky loser :(
Towards the 19th C. he became less of a fool & was portrayed more & more as a tragic, eternal sad clown, with the moon & stars as his only constant companions.

Here's my take on the character.....

BraceFace ^_^ & Catch-up Vlog.

Howdy Guys,
I finally got my braces fitted, well the top one's anyhow and am quickly getting used to them with minimal discomfort now after just over a week!
Here's my experience with them so far and also my reason for not making so many videos this month.....

Thanks a mill:)

Halloween '11; VooDoo Witch.

Hey Folks!

After an annoying & unfortunate hiatus due to various health ailments I'm finally back to provide ye with my newest scare offering for this years Halloween ..... & may I re-introduce my little sister Eithne who some of you may recognise from about a year or so ago when I used her in my 'Perfect Red Lip'
tutorial.

Anyhu.....
The makeup is supposed to look like it was applied by a Witch-Doctor & not a makeup artist so I tried to make it so as it would be easy to re-create. No need to be precise or neat.

Coloured Eyebrows ^_^ ..... (even on thick dark brows)

Bright Coloured Eyebrows regardless of natural hair colour!!

SUPER BRIGHT RED HAIR!!!..... How to & my hair story ^_^

PLEASE NOTE;
These products (L'Oreal MajiContrast & developer) are not intended for use by non professionals.
They are trade only products and therefore require you to be a trade card holder (i.e a professional hairdresser, beautician etc) to purchase.
However if you are not able to get the products I strongly advise going to a hairdressers/salon that use the L'Oreal products and telling them that this is what you want.
If you do get the products but are not a pro, please get a friend who may be a colorist to help or do your homework!! Bleach/ammonia products can be very damaging to the hair if not used properly.
ALWAYS follow the instructions.

Hello Kitty for Sephora = ^_^ = ; Product of the week!

Eep!!
So I have to admit that going on a healthy 15 yrs or so now, I have been somewhat obsessed with Hello Kitty & all things related..... have a tattoo, based my end of yr college show on her etc
So you can imagine my excitement and then immediate despair when I found out that Sephora carry the official Sanrio Hello Kitty makeup, and that it is actually decent quality. (The despair was down to the fact that my closest Sephora is in Paris, yay 0_o)
Fast forward to my favourite Youtuber Heather (Sokolum79) telling me about the Hello Kitty Makeup she saw in her Sephora, and fast forward again to my receiving a package from her containing this beauty below.....

I ❤ Penneys/Primark!!!

Hey Guys,
So living in Ireland can be a pain at times due to the fact that we lack so many great shops that many other countries get to enjoy...cough... Sephora... cough.
We just recently got a Forever 21 but like many of those great stores, it resides up in Dublin.
Here in Galway we still have no H&M (though rumor is that it's on its way...)
We got a TK Maxx a couple of yrs back, and to be fair it is getting better. We also have River Island, TopShop, Miss Selfridges etc but they do tend to be pricey for the basic bits like vest tops and such.
One shop that we do have however, and it has been here for a long time is Penneys (Also known as Primark in the UK & mainland Europe). When I was younger, Penneys was the most uncool place to shop, and you'd be embarrassed when your Mam came home with something from there, but fast forward 20 yrs or so & it has gradually become one of the "cooler" places to purchase from. This is largely thanks to it opening on Oxford St. in London and the new fashion buyers the company brought in.
