Sigma Synthetic Brush Kit Review!

Hey Guys:)
So here's my long awaited Sigma long handled kabuki or synthetic brush kit review!

The only negatives I could think of regarding the brushes were.....
1). The drying time is definitely an over night job, but this is due to the density of the head.
2). It's not conducive to sheer makeup application. (This can be good or bad depending on your needs!)

These are made using synthetic fibre bristles so will suit those of you who do not like to have natural animal hair in their brushes!
(Though I cannot say whether they are vegan as there is glue within the ferrule keeping the hairs in place, not sure if this is animal derived or not!?)

Description
Introducing the new Sigmax brush line for high definition, flawless makeup application. The brushes in this collection feature exclusive Sigmax filament, specially designed to apply powder and liquid products without absorption into the fibers. The shape, density and height of the filaments were carefully engineered to perfectly buff products onto the skin, resulting in a high definition effect.

F80 - Flat Top Kabuki
The F80 Flat Top Kabuki brush is perfect for applying and blending liquid, cream, and powder products onto the skin. The flat surface allows perfect buffing with flawless results. Synthetic Sigmax HD filament.

F82 - Round Top Kabuki
The F82 Round Top Kabuki brush simplifies precise makeup application under the eyes and around the nose. This brush is also perfect for achieving flawless coverage using liquid and powder products. Synthetic Sigmax HD filament.

F84 - Angled Top Kabuki
The F84 Angled Top Kabuki brush is the perfect brush for precise, yet blended application of products on the cheeks. It seamlessly applies cream, powder and liquid products. Synthetic Sigmax HD filament.

Here are some pics showing the difference between a regular sized duo-fibre brush (Mac #187) and the F80.

So you can see straight off that the Sigma offering is much thicker and more dense than the traditional duo-fibre brush, while being a lot shorter also.

And my final conclusion??
Definitely a thumbs up from me!
I think that these are fantastic brushes and very unique! Any makeup brush collector like myself would miss these from their collection!

5/5

  3. I would absolutely adore these brushes because I am such a big makeup fan! I live to do makeup! I get so excited when I'm getting ready and I have to do my face. It's like my face is a canvas and I am the artist. I have this little set of brushes that I been using for over five years because I can't afford new ones. So these brushes would help me out a lot. I would treasure them forever and ever(:

  4. I have heard nothing but good things about Sigma brushes. I have always covetously looked at their sight but have not been able to put out the money to buy a set. Of course winning one would be to good to be true.

  5. I'm trying to learn to be a make up artist like yourself by following your tutorials but I don't have many brushes to be able to expand my creativity. I wish I had more brushes to play with. I heard sigma has quality brushes but I never got a chance to try them. It'll be a nice present for my b-day also since it's coming in may :)
