Shoe Love; Studded Sandals by River Island.

I didn't actually start wearing high heels until my mid twenties onwards. In my teens and early 20s I was still far too hippy/grunge to wear them and thought they were way too 'proper' ha ha! Oh how we change!!

Over the past 5 or 6 years or so, I've been slowly converted and since the last couple of years I absolutely love wearing heeled shows/boots etc, particularly the extra height they add to my 5ft 3ins. 

I bought these babies a couple of weeks ago on sale in River Island, reduced from €90 to €55.....  bargain and a half!

I loved them more after trying them on rather than just seeing them sitting on the shelf but they are totally different from any other shoes I own, in fact they are my first ever heeled sandals.

They are definitely on the higher side compared to my other shoes but are surprisingly comfortable to wear (height wise - about 5in). The straps at the toes did (and sill) require a little 'breaking-in' though but I've been wearing them about the house in socks which has made a big difference. 

I love the stud detailing and the straps. I love straps, the more the merrier, though I have had to force myself to return uber-strappy shoes to their shelves in the past as they were teetering on the 'hoochy' side of strappy, lol!

They are made of real leather and I have always found River Island footwear to be very durable and long lasting.

Hope to get plenty of wear out of these, now if only I had something to wear them to!!!
