Bourjois 'Sweet Kiss Gloss' 10hr Hydration

Continuing on with my Bourjois posts, up next is their new 'Sweet Kiss Gloss' 10hr Hydration formula.

It is possibly the most comfortable lipgloss I've ever tried on my lips and I absolutely love the moist formula. It is super hydrating thanks to it's "vegetable oil-enriched formula... that doesn't feel sticky on the skin"** and I can absolutely guarantee that there is zero stickiness to these after wearing them for a few days in a row now!!!

They have released 6 shades in the range which are;

Bourjois 'Aqua Blush' for Summer 2015

One of the most exciting releases by Bourjois this summer is their brand new 12hr Aqua Blush formula.

These are fluid gel blushes that I think are somewhere in-between the Makeup Forever Aqua Cream Blushes and the Daniel Sandler Watercolour (liquid) Blushes.

There are four shades in the collection including;

01 Ingé-nude 

02 Cocoricorail

(I haven't the faintest clue how this is pronounced!)

Bourjois 'Parisian Summer' Sun Collection 2015

For their summer and sun inspired offerings this year, Bourjois have released 4 'easy-to-use sun make-up products' including a BB Cream, a mattifying Bronzing Powder, a melting mousse-like Complexion Perfector and Tinted Dry Body Oil.

The online-exclusive collection has been inspired by the elegance of the Chic Parisian Woman, the blue and red striping on the packaging hinting at the marine influence.

Get Bigger Lips like Kylie Jenner. (With Makeup)

Over the past month or so, my most requested look or tutorial both in my retail job & on Youtube has been how to achieve the Kylie Jenner lip look. It's mad how something like his can just catch on and go beyond wild!!! While her makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic claims that her fuller lips is down to plain ol' makeup and clever application with over lining, the fib is apparent when looking at pictures like the one at the bottom of the series of images here of Kylie.

Nicki Minaj - Anaconda Makeup Tutorial

Howdy Guys :)

I wasn't planning initially on doing another celebrity inspired makeup look this week but after the release of Nicki Minaj's new and highly controversial music video for 'Anaconda', I was inundated with requests to recreate the look she wore in the video, and figured I may as well do it while people are still interested in it! I was actually a little surprised that people noticed the makeup enough to request it considering everything else that's going on in the video!! Ha ha, anyhow, here's my take on it.

Following on from my previous Maybelline posts here & here, today's post feautres Bourjois products .....both old and new!

I was recently sent some of the new releases from their Christmas range including the 24hr Color Edition Cream to Powder EyeShadows, a Color Boost 10hr Lipstick and a 1 Seconde Nail Enamel.

Bourjois' Java Rice Powder..... Celebrating 150yrs!

In 1863 French Actor Joseph- Albert Ponsin sets up a cosmetics company selling makeup & perfume to stage actors and actresses. 5 years later a company partner, Alexandre-Napoleon Bourjois takes over the reigns and so is born the 'Bourjois' name. In 1879 Bourjois launch their Java Rice Powder or more accurately their "Poudre de Riz de Java", "a product to lighten the skin and leave it velvety",  it becomes "Bourjois' first international bestseller" and brings worldwide success. (source)

Blush Exclusif by Bourjois ; Smart Blush!

Bourjois are getting Smart-er (:P)..... and have just released their first "Smart Blush" which is a cream to powder blush containing pigments that react to the pH levels of your skin, creating a 'bespoke' and  unique blush colour on your cheeks. The technology isn't new, Barry M have had their pH-reactive 'green' lipstick that's actually a berry shade on the lips for years, but it is pretty cool non the less!

Bourjois' offering is a light pastel pink blush in the pot but once swatched and applied to the skin, it deepens in colour depending on your own skin's unique pH level.
