Eye of Horus | Makeup Review.

'Eye of Horus' Cosmetics very recently made it's way to Irish shores (and bloggers' mail boxes), and this was my first time hearing about the Australian cosmetics brand.

Their tagline is 'Awaken the Goddess within' and the entire line is inspired by the beauty of the Ancient Egyptians whom they credit as "the originators of beauty and mystique".

Anti-Valentines Makeup Tutorial: Collaboration with Hayley Colemen

To kick off the Valentine's looks for this year on my Youtube Channel, my friend Hayley Coleman & I decided to do a Valentines Collaboration. Her doing the classic, romantic yet sexy, date-friendly Valentines makeup and I doing the anti-Valentines look which is all heavy liner and full on lipstick, not the most kissable look in the world! ha ha.

I know a lot of the anti-Valentines looks out there are full on theatrical & sometimes SFX based creations, but I still wanted mine to be very much wearable, just not your typical and expected Valentines look.

So First up is Hayley's look;

Glitter Eyeliner Tutorial; 2 Ways!

Another glitter look, this time on the eyes. I love and hate glitter in near equal measure but the love wins out thanks to just how friggin' gorgeous it looks!

(The hate stems from how hard it is to remove & clean up!)

I filmed a tutorial showing how to apply glitter as eyeliner 2 ways, the first tutorial comes with a bit of fallout and but is probably the easiest one to do due to the products needed, the second one is very tidy and perfect for anyone who wears contacts or has very sensitive eyes!

Exotic, Cat Eye Makeup Tutorial | Angelina Jolie Eyes.

Want sultry, almond shaped cat eyes but don't have them naturally? Follow the tips in this video to make your eyes look more like Angelina Jolie's cat eye shape.

This technique is great for people with a round eye shape who would like to make them appear more almond in shape, it's also perfect for people with down turned eyes who would like to make them appear more lifted.

We are pretty much all eyeliner obsessed here I think it's safe to say, and thanks to icons like the beautiful Sofia Loren who turns 80 later this month on Sept 20 we have loads of inspiration to draw from when in a rut. That's what happened here, I was kind of bored with my usual liner look and when I came across a picture of Sofia I immediately wanted to recreate her iconic look and share it with you Guys :)

This is perfect for rounder eye shapes or for anyone who wants to enhance their already almond shaped eyes!

While googling copper/red hair colour recently I came across loads of pictures of the lovely Lizzy Grant, AKA Lana Del Rey, who usually sports gorgeous fiery red locks. One picture that popped up though had her in darker hair and on the cover of Obsession Magazine, a French publication.

The makeup she is wearing in the picture is absolutely gorgeous and I was determined to recreate it... and I did :)

The Hunger Games 'Catching Fire' Inspired Makeup & Outfit;

I finally got around to seeing the new Hunger Games movie 'Catching Fire' and as predicted, I loved it! I loved the videography, the over all aesthetic, the Capitol Couture fashion and of course the makeup. Oh yeah, and the actual story line didn't completely suck either :P

My favourite makeup look for the film was the one Katniss wore at the dance in the Capitol where she has striking red eyeshadow with glitter over an interesting double-lined wing eyeliner design. The rest of the makeup was kept fresh and delicate, really allowing for the eyes to stand out!
