I was inspired to recreate a look I came across online worn by the beautiful Demi Lovato (below) as it's a perfect one for this time of year transitioning into the cooler winter period. (My favourite!!!)

...Plus silver is a colour I don't often reach for so always good to go a little outside of the ol' comfort zone in the name of beauty!

It has been such a busy month for me so far mainly because of the Halloween makeup videos (which can take about 2 days each to complete from start to finish with set-up, filming, editing etc), as well as all my other work and that means a lot of hours/days spent indoors and plonked down in front of my computer...

Shiv's Style; Autumn Outfits Lookbook #2 (October '13.)

I shot another Autumn ready lookbook over the past couple of weeks since it's my absolutely favourite time of the year to buy clothes and layer up outfits! I have put myself on a spending ban (Clothes, makeup etc) for the month of October apart from a €20 a week allowance which I am so far sticking to! I have had these bits since before then, some were sent C/o Romwe.com through their blogger programme, but I also spent a pretty penny or two on the site as well which is one of the things that prompted me to enforce the ban!!!

Can ye tell by all my fashion posts lately that I'm a wee bit excited about dressing for this time of the year!?.....

I LOVE Autumn, no avoiding it and as a result have gone bonkers over the past month or so filling out my Autumn/Winter wardrobe. (With the result that I am imposing a much needed spending ban through-out the month of October on myself, wahhhh!!!!)

So while that ban will help prevent me from spending any more money (unnecessarily) over the next 30 days, it won't stop my blogger C/o items coming or mean that I can't share with ye what I did accumulate over said past month.
One such item is from my latest Romwe.com package & is in the form of the awesome tasseled cardigan in the pictures which is perfect for the slightly cooler temperature.
Unfortunately it's no longer available on the Romwe website but this cardigan has a similar look to it also available from Romwe...... And similar here from ebay. and here also;

Hello Again!

Nearly there... here is look 3 of 4 from my Autumn lookbook, which turned out to be very Madonna-esque circa 1980's.

The outfit focus is this cute lace "Retro Lolita" skirt which was sent C/o ChicNova.com. I love lace, maybe a bit too much at times, and I also love layering, which is the main reason why I love this time of the year.... I had to wear shorts under the skirt because of it's teeniness but sure I only love the layered look of the pairing! :)

The Leather-look jacket is from Swamp which is an Irish retail chain that often has unique pieces, and nearly everything seems to cost €40.

Top, shorts & socks are all from good ol' Penneys (Primark in Ireland) and the oh-so-lovely booties are from iClothing.ie and are the comfiest pair of boots you could hope to trod about in!

The lovely multi layered (see layers again!!) cross necklace is C/o  SammyDress.com, the Queen of inexpensive apparel websites, and costs only $3.82.... Very 'The Craft' which was the main fashion inspiration of my teens!

Here's look #2 from my Autumn LookBook featuring iClothing, Chicnova & Romwe.
It's quite a rockabilly-ish looking ensemble, especially when I popped on my Ralph Lauren sunnies to fight the glare of the sun!
The shirt from Chicnova.com is so pretty but I was worried it would look a little too country & Western for my liking when I opened up the package it arrived in, luckily it just about fell short of the mark. The detailing on it is really quite stunning & I love the see-through mesh panel at the back as well. I chose the small size which fits my size 6-8 frame. (UK/Irish sizing)

The Skirt is from Romwe.com and is my favourite thing of the outfit. It's a vinyl material in my favourite colour of the minute ... burgundy/wine, I'm literally obsessed with all things that shade ! I spend about an hour 'wishlisting' items just that colour on various websites last night 0_o
I went for the size Medium which has a 70cm waistline (to fit my stupid thick torso) and it fit perfectly!

Ahoy hoy!

As I mentioned before, I'm delighted with the change of season and as a result my change of wardrobe as this is my favourite time of the year. I have been updating my wardrobe to keep up with my taste rather than 'fashion' and of course the weather.

I styled the lovely new dress I bought from iClothing.ie to match my own personal style and incorporate an Autumnal colour scheme. I first showed it in a blog post last week.

When I put together an outfit for a post or look, I'll often do so with one or two of the items I'm wearing as a focus, and the rest of the outfit as 'background', with this outfit though I literally love the entire look, everything seems to work perfectly (imo) and though it's not necessarily my usual attire, I love it!

The shirt isn't my 'usual' style (I'm not sure I've ever owned anything made of chiffon before!) but the second I tried it on I turned to mush.... it looks classy on but still has a bit of an edge to it. ❤❤❤

I knew I'd love the bag, glasses and pendant before I even picked them up from the post, each has that perfect vintage/retro look that I adore.

Hello All!

After the unfortunate weather turnaround we had last week in the wake of a bit of summery weather, ONE single day this week way nice and sunny amid the rainy/windy gloom... and I was determined to take advantage of that by filming an outfit of the day. 

So I did :)

I was a bit bold and bought a few things in Miss Selfridge (I am supposed to be on a buying ban until after my holliers next month) BUT in my defense, they have a great sale on there at the minute.

The beautiful mint maxi skirt was down from €60 to only €12! No way could I miss out on that, the top is also from Miss Selfridge and was €14.50 ish. The sheer/see-through back was just too pretty to wear a bra with and of course I did suffer a bit o' nip as a result, but oh well, these things happen :P

I added my leather jacket from Swamp & hat from Dunnes to add a bit of an edge, though it was too warm to keep the jacket on for very long.

Here's the video for a better look at the entire outfit. My sister came to help me film but I was goofing too much & talking too much that I had very little good footage to use! Ha ha. I'll know better for next time.

Hey Guys!

I was inspired to shoot a summery outfit of the day yesterday thanks to the glorious weather we are having in Galway at the moment and to rock my new uber fancy Ralph Lauren shades. So I packed up my camera & tri-pod & headed out to my family home in the countryside to take advantage of my fathers gorgeous gardening skills!

I am a little bit in love currently with this Romwe Cardi & fab Sammydress bag. 

All the items are listed below anyhow. I'd love if anyone who is on Lookbook.nu could hit the hype button above if ye like the outfit!

It's definitely one of my staple wardrobe pieces! I'd say I wear it at least once a week, ha ha. Everyone has something like that in their wardrobe that they live in.
