 Last week I had the pleasure of working with the GlamRock's girls, Louise & Úna, (http://glamrocksluna.blogspot.com/) and photographer Shane O'Connor (http://www.shaneoconnorphotography.com/) again on a shoot for the girls upcoming web fashion-zine. Details of that coming soon.......

Anyhow not going to give too much away about the shoot and final shots until the girls launch their new site, but in the mean time, here are a few 'behind the scene's photo's I took on my i-phone in between doing makeup. xx

Confused by the MAC colouring system??

One thing I hear again & again is how confusing the M.A.C shade system is, with the NC’s & NW’s and the inbetweens.

Determining your SkinTONE.....

When talking about skin tone we are referring to the undertone which isn't necessarily the obvious colouring you first see on a persons face, but rather the overall base colour that is there under the flushing & blushing.

Skin Types; Knowing yours.....

There are 3 main skin types
1. Oily
2. Dry
3. Normal

There are also what I call 'sub types' which are
4. Dehydrated
5. Sensitive

And there is *6. Combination which means 2 or more of the above types all at once which is usually the most common scenario!

Shiv's tricks; Quick Makeup Removal

Howdy Folks!!

Here's a tip I swear by for removing the bulk of heavy makeup initially before cleansing, or when you need to remove makeup in a hurry only to re-apply it again asap!!

Non-tutorial Makeup Play!

Hey Guys ^_^
So first off, this isn't a tutorial!!
I often just play with makeup when I have free time to try out new products, or to see how different textures etc work together or to try out different techniques. And I decided to record the process this time just so kind of share my thought process I suppose.
This isn't meant to be a finished 'look' as such, just what happened at the end of my play time!!
So this isn't a tutorial and what products I used don't matter either!
Either way, hope ye enjoy it.

I was sent these sample applicators absolutely ages ago & was meaning to make a video to show them to ye but kept forgetting!!
But the day I filmed this video, I had once again been asked by a customer/makeup student about where to get the disposable applicators that we have on counter in work. Monochrome Makeup Play!!

Hey Guys,

This was more of a makeup experiment than a proper tutorial but decided to run with it anyhow!
Very obvious Monochromatic look using blacks & whites but any 2 colours could be used, one dark & one light. Just try it out & have fun!

In my continuing effort to have super short but still information packed videos for ye along side my longer tutorials, this is the start of what will be an on-going series of "Shiv's Tricks" Videos. They will be short videos under 5 min in length sharing short & snappy makeup & beauty tips.

This first one is about how to apply Blusher without overloading the skin with colour.
