The Hunger Games 'Catching Fire' Inspired Makeup & Outfit;

I finally got around to seeing the new Hunger Games movie 'Catching Fire' and as predicted, I loved it! I loved the videography, the over all aesthetic, the Capitol Couture fashion and of course the makeup. Oh yeah, and the actual story line didn't completely suck either :P

My favourite makeup look for the film was the one Katniss wore at the dance in the Capitol where she has striking red eyeshadow with glitter over an interesting double-lined wing eyeliner design. The rest of the makeup was kept fresh and delicate, really allowing for the eyes to stand out!

Hello lovelies!

Just a quick update on the Ryan Seacrest Contest (Yes it's still going on a month and a half later!) 

I made it into the semi-finals (Yays!!) and we are now down to the final four out of nearly 50 online video producers.

This awesome elephant print dress is 100% my style, I love the amber on black, cut-out sleeves and the intricate detailing at the hem of the dress. Plus it makes me very nostalgic, reminding me of the 3 months I spend traveling around Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam in my early 20's! In Thailand I visited an Elephant Sanctuary where they cared for rescued elephants and of course it's the only time in my life where I saw an Elephant in the flesh. I got to feed one and have a sit on one while it sauntered about. It was magical!!

Revlon ColorStay Foundation; Normal/Dry -V- Combo/Oily

Despite the misleading colours above, both formulations I tested are in the shade #150 Buff.

Recently I read a post by fellow Irish blogger and Youtuber Dani aka 'The Glamour Nazi', where she compared the 2 formulas of the Revlon ColorStay Foundation; Combination/Oily & Dry/Normal.

Having owned the Combo/Oily formula myself for a few years now, (currently on bottle #2 of the colour Buff 150), I found her results intriguing enough that I was urged to test the differences out for myself!

New Bobbi Brown EyeShadows.

I recently picked up some Bobbi Brown eye products as I have only been trying a couple of their concealers over the past while and hadn't actually tried anything else in years!

I used to own their long-wear cream eyeshadow in 'Bone' long before I ever owned a paint pot or color tattoo and loved it! So with that nostalgia hanging over me, I was inspired to buy 2 of their cream shadows and a single powder shadow.

Maybelline 'Fit Me' Anti-Shine Stick; Review, First Impressions, Demo!

Howdy Folks!

I have been inundated with requests to review the Maybelline 'Fit Me' Anti-Shine Stick Foundation and so I went out & bought it to do just that!

It costs either €10.99 or €11.99 or so here in Ireland (Sorry, can't find my receipt for exact pricing!) And I believe we have only 6 of the 12 shades available. I went for #120 which is the second from lightest shade and more on the neutral end of things, perhaps with just a tad of warmth thrown in.

I think the odd numbers are warmer (pink based) and the even numbered shades are cooler or neutral.... but I also could be wrong here :P

It's an unique product because of it's anti-shine core that contains silicones and light-weight powders to absorb shine and inhibit oil production on the face ....

The foundation stick surrounds an anti-shine centre, the white dot in the middle!!

Now that Halloween is over and done with, it's time to get back to reality and to my more regular makeup related posts. I'm gonna kick things off with the latest addition to Max Factor's foundation range, the new Whipped Creme Foundation.
